My Story and Journey of Professional Development
My journey into psychology and therapeutic work has been shaped by a deep curiosity about the complexities of human behaviour and a commitment to supporting those facing emotional and psychological challenges. Educated in the fields of Psychology, Psycho-oncology, and Suicidology, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of human behaviour and psychological disorders. This foundation allows me to not only address the day-to-day challanges my clients face but also to establish meaningful therapeutic relationships that foster healing and growth.
Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for working with both children and adults, particularly in the area of trauma recovery. My interest in the transformative power of therapy led me to explore Jungian Sandplay therapy, which uniquely addresses the psychological impact of childhood trauma. I am fascinated by how storytelling, active imagination, and symbolism within Sandplay create a safe space for children and adult to process their experiences, often leading to profound emotional healing.
Psycho-oncology holds a special place in my heart due to personal experiences within my own family. Watching a loved one battle cancer gave me a firsthand understanding of just how challenging and emotionally draining the journey can be—not only for the person who is ill but also for the entire family. I deeply resonate with the feelings of fear, uncertainty, and helplessness that often accompany this experience. This personal connection drives my commitment to helping others in similar situations, offering a compassionate and supportive space where they can process their emotions and find the resilience they need.
My experiences, both personal and professional, have shaped my approach to therapy. I believe that healing starts with feeling understood, and my goal is to offer that sense of connection and care to every person I work with. Whether it’s helping someone cope with a life-threatening illness, supporting a family in distress, or guiding a child through a tough time, I am dedicated to walking alongside my clients on their journey to well-being.
